I had 3 small chips this month totalling $16.53. Not a huge impact, but I have reduced payment #358 down to $142.19.

I didn't know the answer to your question Starfishy, so I went back to amortization schedule and checked. So far, I have paid $720.55 extra principal and by the time I get to the end, that will have reduced the total amount paid by $3,038.21, saving me $2,317.66 in interest.
