Miscellaneous Mortgage Chips

September 24th, 2011 at 01:28 am

This week I have chipped $0.81 from Lending Club and $8.00 from Beezag. I have received a total of $32.00 from Beezag this year, just for watching their short little video ads. I think fondly of Laura every single time I cash out. Smile

Go away, mortgage.

yay - more chips! i just checked out the beezag site and i don't understand how you have gotten cash. it looks like the rewards are all items or offers. am i missing something? i'd love to hear more about it! also, what are the other websites that you use to get the small amounts of cash that you use as your chips? i'd like to look into some of them. thanks!

    Hi Starfishy,

I'll be glad to tell you all about my chipping efforts. Smile

When you sign up on Beezag, they put short video ads into your queu, typically 2 or more per day. Each ad has a point value, which varies. You watch the ad and during it, two single digit numbers flash across the screen. At the end, there is a prompt where you enter both digits (order does not matter) and if you are correct, you are awarded the points. If you're not, you can watch it again. When you get to 8,000 points, you can cash them in for $8.00. They don't mail paper checks, but you can use your PayPal account.

I have a link to Beezag undr "sites I enjoy". If you use my link to sign up, I get a bonus when you earn points (10% of your points).

Lending Club had a promo at one time, if you sign up they would give you $25 to lend. I did sign up and I did lend my $25. I have never put in any money of my own. As the payments are made, I can pull the cash out.

I also do Inbox Dollars. They have the same video ads as Beezag and also send you email ads. You get paid for each video ad and email, usually .02 but sometimes more. There is a $5.00 sign up bonus. They also have "offers", some of which I have done. Usually buy something and get a bonus from them. Some of the offers have been very worthwhile for me. (Like sign up or Betterment and get paid $20.00, sign up for a credit card and get $30.00, sign up for Netflix and get $8.00. Even one for mint.com! I have learned that when I am going to sign up for something, check Inbox dollars first to see if they have an offer.) They have an area called "tasks", which I have never done. And they have surveys. When you get to $30.00, you can cash out and they mail paper checks. There is a $3.00 fee which they deduct, but you are immediately paid a $3.00 bonus towards your next check.

I just added Inbox Dollars to "sites I enjoy". If you use my link, I get a bonus when you earn.

I also do decoy mail for HauserNet. Years ago before my divorce, I did it for years at my old address. Last December, I was able to get started again at my new address. I haven't been paid anything yet this time around. It takes time to build your volume. Decoy mail means advertisers will mail pieces to my house addressed to a fake name (usually along the lines of "Ghbox" or "Rs2box"). When you receive the mail, you enter it into Hausernet's site. You get paid $.25 per piece. They mail you a check, supposedly every quarter but at times I have had to ask. I haven't been paid yet because my volume is so low I have yet to hit the minimum to receive a check. I have at times made $50.00 per quarter. I expect to get there again, but I'm not there yet.

To do decoy mail, you have to submit your information and wait. If they need someone in your zip code, they will email you and ask if you are still interested.

I just went ahead and added them to "sites I enjoy" too.

I use rewards credit cards for buying my gas and whatever bills I can (recently was able to sign up my internet service for automatic billing to my credit card). I don't carry a balance on the purchases and the rewards can really add up. Mostly I use Chase Freedom. From time to time, some card will have a really great promotion for new customers, and I grab those when I can.

I do the occasional secret shop too.

Having a goal for these small bits of money motivate me to keep working at getting them.
