Mortgage Chips To Date

March 4th, 2017 at 12:22 am

My mortgage payment has posted. This month I paid an additional $9.82. My new balance is $162,350.00.

Chips to date: $2,157.73

Interest savings this month: $8.17

Interest savings to date: $239.25

Eventually, the interest savings on the chips I have already made will compound to $4,567.53, provided I own this house until July 1, 2042. Which I probably won't. Stick Out Tongue

How do you figure out the interest savings you are getting each month? Interested because this would be another fun thing to track with my mortgage.

I have my mortgage set up on a spreadsheet. I'm tracking what was scheduled vs. what I have acutally paid.

I'm going to email you my sreadsheet so you can see how it works, and use it if you like. Smile
