I don't trust the government enough to give them my bank account #. I know it's probably a silly fear because when they get the cleared check they will probably have that info anyway.
That said, I had my identity stolen, and had been suspicious of a rogue IRS or FTB employee, all along. Or a security breach. It was either the government or one of my financial institutions - no one else has all that info on me - not even my employer.
Anyway, so I have to wait a week or so. I filed Monday too.
