Plan With Me; March 2018 Budget

March 1st, 2018 at 02:19 am

March budget is ready to go. Smile

I applied and was approved for a new BofA MasterCard. The terms are 0% for 15 months, no balance transfer fee. I requested that $9300 of my existing $9400 AmEx balance be transferred. That leaves me with $100 to pay to AmEx in March, and then the minimum payment to the new MasterCard. I budgeted $100, but of course it might be more.

If the time comes I can no longer keep this debt at 0%, I will take a Heloc draw and finance it that way. Meanwhile, it is (oh so) slowly decreasing.

Nothing newsy here. SB and I continue to live our quiet little life in the woods; I continue to commute to the big town with 11k people and be gainfully employed.

Love the March theme. I'd throw as much as I could on the CC before the 15 month period is up, that way you won't have to transfer the debt

This is such a SIMPLE budget format . I am going to use it for myself. Sounds like a good budget. You are paying quite a bit though for netflix. I only pay $9.99? Maybe you have some upgraded plan. Great job. Keep it coming, And where does the rent come from. You have rentals?

Hi Amber, thank you, I thought it was a fun theme too. I do want the debt GONE, but savings is taking priority for now.

Hi Rachael, I do prefer things simple whenever possible. Smile
I moved to a new area last year and am renting out my former home. I ultimately wish to sell, but for now it is a rental.

I am paying for both Netflix streaming (4 devices) and dvds by mail. The streaming I cannot currently use myself, but my mother, daughter, and son all use it. The dvd service is a godsend since I have no internet or cable at home. Our library charges $1 to check out a movie, so the Netflix works out better.

Great format. It does what it needs to do without throwing in a lot of trouble.

Sorry that the library charges $1 to check out a movie. Ours is free.

Ouch! That's too bad the library charges. Do you visit your mom, etc often? If so, you could download episodes/movies to watch off line. (Or just anywhere that has wifi you could do that.)
