Favorite You Tube Channels?

December 30th, 2019 at 01:40 am

One of our main sources of entertainment is watching YouTube. I watch financial channels, full time RVing channels, and OK a crochet video every now and then.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled on to Quest to FIRE. The vlogger is a 30 something married woman w/ no kids living in NC, working towards her FIRE goals. She has a great sense of humor and is fun to watch. I think this is my favorite channel right now.

I also used to really like GazelleIntents, who were doing the Dave Ramsey thing. They were a young engaged couple when I started watching, and they were just adorable. Then they got married, had a beautiful baby, she got some promotions and became the sole bread winner while he was doing the full-time sahd thing, but then they took down their channel. Frown

Another FIRE channel I really like is GoWithLess. This couple is late 40s/ early 50s, FIREd a year or two ago, and are just about to embark on full-time world traveling (not RVing).

My favorite RVing channels are EnjoyTheJourney.Life and Long Long Honeymoon.

Anyone have any favorite YouTube channels they want to share?

I remember watching GazelleInTents! I hope they are doing well. I watch Coffee with Kate (long videos), Centisible Living Mom (or something like that), Budget Girl is good and I liked following her when she was paying down debt, but she is debt free now. Prudent Joy is back to try to pay down debt, she definitely has had some struggles. Those are the ones that come to mind off the top of my head. For RVs, we watch Less Junk, More Journey and Live Your Daydream.

I like Nomadic Fanatic. Depending on what year it is he has lived in a van and an RV and traveled all over the states with his cat, mostly boondocking, but sometimes paying for a spot in a campground.

I like One Big Happy Family for financial stuff although I don't agree with all they do.

Otherwise I watch a lot of homesteading channels and cooking channels, especially budget cooking.

Thanks for sharing. I actually only watch DR or Gail Vaz Oxlade old programs

One of my favorites was formerly called Tinyhouse Prepper. They just changed the name of their channel to "Live Simple, Live Free," since they need to move his elderly father in with them, so they are in the process of moving to a non-tiny house in order to accommodate the caretaking needs.

There are definitely some aspects of their beliefs that don't agree with mine, but on the whole I find the channel a good inspiration.

I also like Budget Girl; I agree she was more fun to watch when she was getting out of debt. So happy for her, of course. I have watched a little Prudent Joy too! It was nice recently seeing them get two surprise monetary gifts at Christmas time. She seems like a very sweet person.

I sometimes watch One Big Happy Family, but would not make all of the choices they are making. I wish them luck with their endeavors, though. I got an email (mass email, not personal to me) from her recently; she is selling planners for the new year.

I have watched a good bit of Gail Vaz Oxlade. I really like her style. But unfortunately, there aren't any new episodes being made.

    I will check out:
    Less Junk, More Journey
    Live Your Daydream
    Nomadic Fanatic
    Live Simple, Live Free

Thanks all, I appreciate your feedback. Smile
