Looks like if I keep my current silver ACA plan for 2026 my monthly premium will be $356, up from $110. Part of the increase is due to my expected income for 2026 rising to 50k.
There were several gold plans available at a lower cost, which does not make sense to me. Has anyone experienced the same? I ended up choosing Blue Choice Preferred Gold PPO 204 at a cost of $5 per month. Yes, $5.

Funny you ask this. I was checking into my plan. And when I put in my expected income for 2026, which is about the same as 2025, I got a huge subsidy, which I think is either weird or wrong. The plan I currently have, which is a Bronze HMO will go down about $40/month compared to this year. I find that VERY hard to believe. Especially due to the fact that one of the sticking points in the governments shut down is that the Dems are fighting to KEEP the subsidies while the Repubs want them discontinued.

However, the details here are surprising, but I certainly hope things will work out better for all of you than it is going to be for me.
